Lucy Edit 2
Lucy Edit 2 is Decart’s video editing model. Upload a video, describe the changes you want, and Lucy Edit 2 modifies it while preserving motion and temporal consistency.
What it can do
- Style transfer — transform videos into anime, film noir, watercolor, and other visual styles
- Character transformation — swap characters with different people, fictional characters, or stylized versions
- Object replacement — change specific objects in the scene (cars, clothing, accessories)
- Attribute changes — modify colors, textures, or materials of existing objects
- Reference-guided edits — provide a reference image to show the model exactly what you want
Inputs
- video (required) — MP4 video file (H.264 or VP8), 16:9 or 9:16 aspect ratio, max 200MB. No duration limit.
- prompt — text description of the changes. Can be empty if you provide a reference image.
- reference_image — an image to guide the edit. Use this for specific items like sunglasses, logos, or style references.
- seed — for reproducible results.
- enhance_prompt — automatically improve your prompt before generation (default: true).
You can drive edits with text, a visual reference, or both together. At least one of prompt or reference_image must be provided.
Prompting tips
- Be specific — “a red knit sweater with a white emblem on the chest” works better than “a red sweater”
- Describe the reference image — when doing character transformation, describe what you see in the reference (skin, hair, clothing, features)
- One edit per prompt — combining multiple edits can produce unpredictable results
- More detail, better results — 20-40 word prompts produce better results than short instructions
